Kim Delaney (born Kim Delaney) is an American actress best known for portraying Detective Diane Russell in ABCs NYPD Blue, for which she earned the Emmy Award. In addition, she was a part of shows like All My Children Philly CSI: Miami, Army Wives and CSI: Miami. Delaney, the only child of the United Auto Workers senior executive and domestic worker was raised by four siblings. As a young girl, Delaney wanted to be a court-reporter. However, in high school the time came when she began modeling commercials, she moved to New York. In 1981, she appeared as an innocent teen in All My Children. Delaney an actress in her early years in the 80s, has been featured in numerous TV shows as well as dramas. Delaney has not lived a good or satisfying personal life. This actress who's talented and gorgeous, has struggled with drinking in the past. The marriages she has had ended in failure twice. In 2005, the actress was denied custody over her only son.
