Ky-Mani
Ky-Mani has been an established Reggae Singer for many years. Born in Falmouth Jamaica, he was one of the most wealthy and most popular. He sang in Shottas together with another vocalist Wyclef. Ky-Mani was signed by Shang Records in 1996 where he released his first album With Father Like Son. He also recorded several singles, such as Judge Not With Patra as well as Dear Dad (which reached the top of the British Reggae Charts) and How Does The Cap Go remix and Sensimelia. All of them contributed to the rising popularity of Ky among the younger generation of reggae artists. In 1997, Ky-Mani formed a band together with Praswell (Fugees) to record Avenue an acclaimed cover of Eddy Grant's Electric Avenue. Marley performed at the Midem performance (an international showcase of music) that was the first time it was held in Miami. Marley did a live performance in the Cameo Theatre, which was broadcasted by Caribbean News Agency across 36 countries. Marley was part of a bidding dispute.
